HOW WE MAKE MOVES
We are pushing towards reducing our carbon footprint through biodegradable packaging, labels, and using recycled cardboard. By incorporating environmentally friendly products and minimising packaging waste, we aim to contribute to a more sustainable future.
To access your thank you card please scan the barcode that is located on the mailer bag. These stickers serve as a convenient and eco-friendly way for you to access your card while reducing paper waste.
Our home compostable shipping mailers are made from 70-80% PBAT (a co-polymer that is completely compostable) and 20-30% PLA (cornstarch).
To compost them at home, remove any labels, cut them up and place them in your compost bin as "brown" materials. These will completely break down within 90-120 days in a home-compostable environment.
Or send them to a composting facility to have them broken down for you. Contact your local council or visit www.sharewaste.com to find a local home-composting enthusiast near you!
Traditional packaging and shipping materials usually contain
harmful plastics, often petroleum-based, that have contributed to environmental issues.
If something is classed as biodegradable
it can be broken down by bacteria and other living things. Cardboard is one of the most sustainable packaging materials because it is made from the renewable raw
material Wood.
This makes it particularly eco-friendly with respect to extraction
and production, as well as use and disposal.
By opting for the greener alternative, customers can easily dispose
of their waste while ensuring that the packaging is environmentally sustainable
and avoids contributing to landfill.
